Bans and Suspensions Shake Lorcana and Star Wars Unlimited Card Games

In the past two days, we've seen significant changes occur in two of our newer trading card games (TCGs). Disney Lorcana and Star Wars Unlimited I've implemented significant changes to assist their games in maintaining a more balanced meta.

Let's find out which cards will be taken out of competitive play for these games.

Bans in Lorcana

Yesterday Ravensburger the publisher of Disney Lorcana, stated that two cards will be prohibited From competitive play in the Core Constructed format: Hiram Flaversham – Toy Maker and Fortisphere.

According to the announcement:

Although we admire the innovative approaches players came up with for using these cards, the inclusion of Hiram Flaversham – Toymaker alongside Fortisphere ended up undermining the key tenets of enjoyable and well-balanced gameplay that we aim to uphold in Disney Lorcana.

Cards Suspended in Star Wars Unlimited

At the same time, in a distant galaxy (still under Disney’s ownership), Fantasy Flight Games , the publisher of Star Wars Unlimited , announced today the halt of three card services From the Premier series: Triple Dark Raid, Jango Fett – Hiding the Scheme, and DJ – Bold Theft.

According to their announcement:

...considering the outcomes from our first Sector Qualifiers, the general condition of the metagame has deteriorated compared to what we observed previously. Twilight of the Republic For this reason, we will be halting several cards in the Premier format.
