I really enjoyed watching this video about a " mushroom with bionic arms painting a picture of a head It’s incredible that we possess the technological capabilities to bring such a statement to life. I’d love to spend an evening sitting beside this mushroom and sketching alongside it.

This depicts an oyster mushroom painting a picture where its bio-electrical impulses control both the arms and paintbrushes. Additionally, the fungus is managing the rotation of the canvas itself. To our knowledge, this might be the inaugural artwork produced by a fungus.
The mushroom has been decorated using red and black acrylic paints along with a pour of copper-colored acrylic. The musical piece originates from a recording of a performance (featuring mushrooms) at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester back in March 2025.
