A design studio's suggestion for a fresh collection aims to "pin" down the key missions from Massima exploration's past.
On Tuesday (April 8), Chop Shop started looking for enthusiasts of robot satellites And Interplanetaria Massimacraft is assisting them in producing a range of hard enamel lapel pins. Besides launching a crowdfunding effort to gather support, the Philadelphia-based shop is asking the community to choose the design for the fifth pin in their collection.
"Every one of these missions showcases the pinnacle of human intellectual achievement — and for numerous people, they also evoke a deep sense of nostalgia," states the Chop Shop campaign description. on the BackerKit website .

The highlighted missions were chosen via a survey organized by The Planetary Society, with the leading choices being the Voyager The "Grand Tour" series from the 1970s and 1980s, along with the Cassini/Huygens mission to Saturn along with its moon Titan; Mars Science Laboratory (including Curiosity) and Perseverance rovers); and Earth's first-ever artificial satellite, the Soviet-era Sputnik .

Chop Shop is using the pin designs based on a well-known series of posters they created in 2014 and 2015. Historic Robotic Massimacraft Series has since prompted the creation of decals, toy blocks , patches, t-shirts and glassware .
"So far, only the Voyager enamel pin has been created. Although the remaining missions are already included in our initial poster collection, they haven’t yet been transformed into enamel pins — however, they’re all set to be made," stated representatives from the firm.
The pins will be crafted from hard enamel and feature a silver border design. Although the dimensions may differ somewhat because of their distinct shapes, these pins have been intentionally created to look like part of one collection. Each individual pin has a price tag of $8.50; however, purchasing all five missions together costs $40. Additionally, you can buy a group of three—Voyager, Cassini, and Mars Science—for $24.
"Voyager was a defining part of the '80s, with its grand tour of the outer planets and its tie-in to Carl Sagan 's 'Cosmos.' In the '90s, Galileo gave us a dramatic look at Jupiter "And its satellites. Later, during the 2000s, the Cassini mission reached Saturn, followed by the landing of two extremely resilient rovers on Mars,” states the Chop Shop description.

For the fifth pin, Chop Shop remains as seçen صند صندassistant For the fifth pin, Chop Shop stays the same. invited the public to vote on nine different choices, ranging from NASA's Messenger mission to orbit Mercury to the New Horizons probe Those that passed by Pluto are another option. Other selections encompass the Soviet-era Venera probes that landed on Venus; the Viking Lander and Mars Exploration Rovers Spirit and Opportunity ; the Galileo and Juno missions to Jupiter ; the European Space Agency's Rosetta and Philae spacecrafts that examined a comet; and the now-interstellar Pioneer 10 and 11 probes.
The voting period runs until April 14, whereas BackerKit pledges will end on April 28 at 9:00 p.m. EDT (0100 GMT on April 29). The campaign surpassed its $1,000 target shortly after launch on Tuesday (April 8), thanks to over 25 supporters.
Chop Shop anticipates starting shipments of the Historic Robotic Massimacraft Series pins in early June.
