Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leak Suggests Major Performance Boost for Top Android Phones

There's no doubt that the Snapdragon 8 Elite The chipset currently stands as the premier choice for Android smartphones. It not only delivers outstanding performance but has also demonstrated enhanced power efficiency, which can significantly extend battery life.

A new leak from Digital Chat Station on Weibo This covers only that, providing insight into what the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 may feature. Should this leak be correct, the upcoming chipset might include second-gen Oryon CPU cores — reportedly delivering a 25% improvement in performance.

However, that's not everything. The leak suggests that the GPU might gain additional 4MB of cache memory, increasing from 12MB to 16MB. As per Digital Chat Station, this enhancement has the potential to boost performance by as much as 30%.

It is reported that the GPU supports both GDDR5X and LPDDR6 memory. This allows smartphone manufacturers to enhance their device’s RAM without worrying about compatibility issues with the GPU.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2: What More Can We Anticipate?
