PS Portal System Software Update Patch Notes from April 9, 2025
The patch notes for today's PS Portal update are as follows:
- Sort You can now organize games within the Cloud Streaming catalog screen. A new sorting icon will appear at the top-left corner, enabling you to arrange games according to: Recently added to PS Plus (which is set as default), Title, and Release date.
- Capture gameplay The Create button on your PS Portal will become active during a Cloud Streaming session. Below are the actions you can take:
- - Tap once: Show the creation menu
- - Press and long-hold: Capture a screen shot
- – Tap two times: Begin/end capturing a video clip
- Queue You can now queue up when the streaming server reaches capacity. An approximate waiting period will appear on-screen, and once it’s your turn, the game session will begin automatically.
- Pause During a cloud streaming game session, gameplay will be paused under the following circumstances:
- - The gameplay will be paused whenever you access the PS Portal quick menu. To bring up this quick menu, press the PS button, swipe left from the upper-right corner of your display, or tap the quick menu symbol located within the status bar.
- - Pressing the power button once will place PS Portal into rest mode, pausing the game. To resume gameplay, simply press the power button again. However, if the system stays in rest mode beyond 15 seconds, the cloud streaming connection will end.
- – The gameplay will be paused as well whenever a system error message appears at the bottom of the screen.
- Notification of inactivity You will now get a system alert when your streaming session is set to end because of more than 10 minutes of inactivity.
- User feedback screen We've included a user feedback screen at the conclusion of the streaming sessions to assess the quality of your streaming experience.
