Excited to Try This 7-Inch Color E-Ink Gadget: Calls, Wireless Charging Stylus, and Unique Navigation Buttons Included!

  • Bigme B7 costs $229 and has full Android access and a nifty call recording-to-text feature
  • Even though it’s inexpensive, this device includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage; however, it lacks a compartment for the stylus.
  • With its 3000mAh battery, it should last far longer than rivals but the jury is out there as there's no reviews

I'm quite fond of the design of the Bigme B7, a 7-inch colored ePaper gadget running on Android that merges functionalities typically seen in both tablets and mobile phones.

The device’s E-Ink screen provides a resolution of 1264x1680 with 300 pixels per inch for black and white material, and 632x840 with 150 pixels per inch for color content.

The display employs Kaleido 3, which is also the underlying technology used in Amazon’s Kindle Colorsoft.

Pen with wireless charging

The B7 features an octa-core 2.3GHz processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage, which can be extended using a TF card up to a capacity of 1TB.

It features dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and 4G connectivity through a Nano SIM slot, providing alternatives for data consumption as well as voice communication outside of a Wi-Fi zone. Additionally, it includes a useful call-to-text function that accommodates up to 37 different languages.

The B7 includes a 5-megapixel rear camera and a built-in microphone, supporting video calls and basic photo needs, including the scanning of documents.

The B7 has a built-in gravity sensor for automatic screen rotation, and navigation is aided by two customizable physical buttons.

The unit includes a capacitive stylus capable of detecting 4096 pressure levels, allowing you to take notes, draw, and mark up or sign documents. Although the pen charges wirelessly, it lacks a dedicated docking station, which is somewhat disappointing.

Weighing around 215g and measuring 156.6x138.6x5.8mm, the Bigme B7 is compact and portable. Its 3000mAh battery should allow the device to go a decent length of time between charges, and the product comes with a magnetic cover that can transform into a multi-angle stand, for hands-free reading.

The B7 is currently being offered at an early bird price of $229 With a 23% discount from its usual $299 MSRP, along with additional savings on the website, this device appears promising. However, since there are currently no customer reviews available, the actual performance of the Bigme B7 in everyday use is still uncertain despite offering appealing features at what seems like a reasonable cost.
