For those familiar with many gaming keyboards, one of the biggest downsides of PC gaming peripherals tends to be the accompanying software. It’s not ideal having another resource-draining application running continuously in the background, and frequently, these programs’ user interfaces and core functionalities aren’t up to par. Fortunately,Corsair has made strides toward improvement by offering an optional new web-based platform for firmware upgrades at times.

Importantly, Companies such as Keychron utilize an online platform. For both default keyboard settings and various personalizations as well as updating the device's firmware.

ThisCorsair tool still needs some work. It has potential but isn't fully developed yet. only do firmware updates, not, say, a full key layout customization or other adjustments. So if you want to use your PC gaming gear to the fullest—or at least want to assign those settings to device memory before shutting the software down—you still need an installed version of iCue It’s nearly impossible to create individual profiles for launching games or applications specifically without having some sort of background utility active. This reality ensures that committed PC gaming enthusiasts will continue relying on iCue.

iCue isn't bad, but it's still cumbersome, even for those accustomed to such systems. It's good that Corsair provides alternatives allowing users to bypass it altogether.
