However, speculation circulating on social media suggested that a new “ Premium Plus” subscription level might be necessary to eliminate advertisements. A person cautioned on X: "I am going to cancel my subscription indefinitely, as will countless others."

One user cautioned, “Do not insert any advertisements into my Spotify Premium; otherwise, I will cancel it right away.” A loyal customer added, “If even a single ad appears, I’m terminating my subscription.”

Some people showed surprise, saying things like "EXCUSE ME?? WHEN DID SPOTIFY START PLACING ADVERTISEMENTS DURING SONGS?" and, "I just installed a new music application because I'm worried Spotify might start showing ads even for premium members."
