Multiple high school squads are vying for the chance to have their recipes launched into space at Space Center Houston.
The contest forms an integral part of "The HUNCH Culinary Challenge," which gives high school students the opportunity to merge their enthusiasm for cooking with scientific principles.
The victors of this contest will see their recipe launched into space to aid astronauts at the International Space Station, along with receiving a scholarship.
And one local team from Angleton High School is hoping their pasta featuring chicken and chickpeas will come out on top.
The leading trio of teams will be unveiled next month.
